Challenge Your Child to Build Critical Life Skills They Need such as Discipline and Respect…Plus Keep Them Safe!
Our Karate for Kids program works hand-in-hand with a child’s schoolwork, providing improved self-discipline, self-confidence, mental alertness and goal setting skills.
Your kids will be taught by full-time professionals who are all certified, and background checked. In additional to the life skills training, our Kidz’n Power child safety program will teach your child simple break away self-defense techniques to avoid the dangers of child abduction. The Benefits of Martial Arts Training at Impact Martial Arts!
Self Confidence
It doesn’t come naturally for many children, but rather is developed over a period of time. As a child accomplishes new goals, his or her confidence level increases. Children become more self confident in Karate because they progress individually at their own pace and are not judged against others.
Self Defense
Children’s self defense takes many forms. Karate teaches children to think instead of panic in potentially serious situations as well as how to react to threats from other kids.
Better Grades
Being a Karate Kid also means being a better student. All kids in the Karate for Kids program learn skills, such as following directions, paying attention in class, and participate in class activities that help them to become better students.
Every Child Wins
In Karate, every kid can be a winner instead of a bench sitter because Karate allows children to reach for their own potential rather than directly competing against other kids.
Coordination
Karate challenges the entire body, developing coordination, balance, agility and poise, often neglected in many team sports available to children in this age group.
Fun
Karate lessons are a dynamic and challenging approach to the martial arts for children who are athletic, energetic, awkward or shy, bold, nice, or maybe even a little wild once in a while…Karate is probably for a kid just like yours.

My kids have been training at impact martial arts for about two years and they have attained remarkable martial arts, social, and leadership skills. Impact martial arts scheduling app is very convenient to use and helps fit awesome sessions into my busy schedule seamlessly. My kids, 8 and 9 years old, have enjoyed camaraderie and created lasting bonds and friendships via other impact functions such as birthday parties, camps, martial arts competitions and tournaments, bouncy castles, cool Halloween / trunk or treat events, Poway parades participation and water gun play/ potlucks picnics/ events at scenic lake Poway and lots more.

I am so grateful to Impact and all their amazing instructors who have come alongside my daughter when she started at 3 years of age, and encouraged and nurtured her through the years in her Black belt journey. They saw something in her that I as a new parent couldn’t see. The growth my daughter has had through her 3+ years at the studio is truly amazing. She is strong, confident and courageous which are characteristics they have helped nurture in her. I highly recommend Impact Martial Arts!

We absolutely love Impact Martial Arts! Every instructor is patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in each student’s success.
Since joining, my daughter has gained so much confidence, discipline, and resilience. She loves learning forms, practicing with her sword, and sparring, and it’s been incredible to watch her come out of her shell. She’s active, challenged, and excited to go to every class.
The entire team creates such a positive, welcoming environment, and it truly feels like family. We couldn’t recommend Impact Martial Arts more!

Poway Impact Martial Arts has become a second home and family to us. My daughter started when she was 3 and is now 7 and my son is now old enough and joined as well.
The instructors are supportive, knowledgeable, and truly care about every student. Our children have learned not only about martial arts but about how to be a great well rounded kid. The martial arts, leadership, and social skills they work on every week, help the children in all aspects of life.
The community of teachers (Miss Stacey, Master Nuygen, and Mr. Nuygen),students, and parents are one of a kind and we will be forever grateful for the relationships we have built here!

Impact martial arts in Poway has been the best thing for my kids! They are learning discipline, respect, self-esteem and so many other life qualities. The instructors are confident and caring and also very funny. They give back to the community more than most companies. I recommend this studio to anyone looking for a martial arts class.

My kids love Impact because the leaders know how to relate and interact with kids. They also get to use special weapons and have a great system for moving up through belts that keeps the kids motivated. My kids are learning confidence and respect through the program as well!

My daughter has been training at Impacts Martial Arts for the past three years, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.
Over the years, we’ve watched her grow into a more confident, disciplined, and kind child. Beyond learning martial arts skills, she’s developed perseverance, respect, and a genuine willingness to help others.
The instructors are outstanding—they are patient, encouraging, and truly care about every student’s growth. The classes are well-structured, engaging, and appropriate for different age groups and skill levels.
One thing that really stands out is the culture at Impacts. The older students are always willing to help and encourage the younger ones, creating such a positive and supportive environment. What’s even more impressive is that this tradition has been passed down to the younger children, who now naturally help and support those who are newer than they are. It’s wonderful to see this spirit of leadership and kindness continue from one generation of students to the next.
We’re incredibly grateful to be part of the Impacts family and highly recommend it to any family looking for a martial arts school that helps children grow not only physically, but also as confident, respectful, and caring individuals.

My daughter has been attending this place for quite a while now. Their kids’ program isn’t heavily focused on hardcore martial arts. Instead, I feel it’s more about building confidence, discipline, and respect.
They also host events from time to time, and they do an excellent job organizing them. I’ve attended a couple myself, and the scale and quality of the events have been genuinely impressive.

We attended a party here and Ms. Stacey was excellent! She was great with the kids. Very welcoming, and remembered each and every child’s name at the party…
